The filmmakers work together,
writing upstairs and editing downstairs.
This upper office needed to maximize
desk space and storage space in a room
of approximately 150 square feet. The
cabinets are all plastic laminate on
euro ply with exposed sealed edges and
the floor is linoleum. The doors are
all push release, with no visible hardware.
Detail of cabinets, with
colored cork board below.
The cabinets and drawers
are in 5 shades of green and the design
was inspired by 60's airstream trailers.
A sliding door and screen
of pale green acid-etched glass lets
light into the stairs and provides privacy.
A bathroom is located through the door
at the end.

The filmmakers' assistant
is located one floor down, in the Blue
Office.
A new ipe fence, door,
and balcony were added in 2010.
From the entry level,
a stair goes down to the editing/ meeting
space that extends under the sidewalk,
providing a larger space of 850 square
feet. A large cabinet holds awards and
souvenirs from film shoots. The shelves
are prefinished euro ply and plastic
laminate.
